Here's to Celebrating Canada and Here's to Responsible Choices - Molson Coors Canada Celebrates Responsible Drinking at 2010 Olympics

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 17, 2010) - NOTE TO EDITORS: Five photos for this release are available on Marketwire's website.

During the 2010 Olympics and Paralympics, Molson Coors Canada is proudly joining all Canadians in cheering on our athletes and celebrating those across the country who chose to celebrate these Games responsibly.

"Molson Coors Canada is proud to be an official supplier of the Olympics as well as a sponsor for the Paralympics, and it's important to us is that those who choose to drink as part of celebrating the Games, do so responsibly," says Amir Remtulla, Senior Director, Public Affairs, Molson Coors Canada. "Canadians have a long tradition of celebrating and cheering on their home teams. We're proud to be part of that tradition and we believe it's important for us to celebrate those who make responsible choices when doing so."

Molson Coors Canada is committed to making sure consumers have the information they need to make responsible choices year-round and the 2010 Olympics are no exception. In addition to posters, Pedi-cabs, and distributing TAXIGUY dollars, Molson Coors Canada will be promoting 1-888-TAXIGUY - a toll-free number that consumers can call in over 700 cities and towns across Canada to get connected to a local taxi company.

"Whether you are on site in Vancouver or at your local pub in St. John's, you can call 1-888-TAXIGUY for free and they'll connect you with a local cab to get you home safely," continues Remtulla.

Cabbies, along with servers and designated drivers, are the three groups that Molson Coors Canada celebrates in its Olympic responsible drinking posters because these groups help people make the responsible choice and make it home safe. As the world meets in Vancouver, these posters will be distributed throughout the Olympic grounds to remind athletes and fans to keep responsible drinking top of mind during the festivities.

Responsible Choices Pedi-cabs will help transport people for free from one Olympic location to another between 9 a.m. - 3 a.m. every day of the Games. These Pedi-cabs will serve as a constant reminder to everyone on the Olympic grounds to make sure they make it home safe.

"At the end of the day, making the responsible choice is the individual's decision but we hope that these special efforts will encourage people to make the right one," continues Remtulla. "We want our consumers to ensure that every call is the right call, for themselves and for others."
