"With demand for orthopaedic treatment at an all-time high and continuing to rise, initiatives that support and promote excellence in orthopaedic care are vitally important," says Angelique Berg, executive director. "Thousands of Canadians are living with pain and restricted mobility as they wait for not only hip and knee replacements but many types of surgery that will help them resume their everyday lives. No matter where you are in the care path - waiting for surgery, celebrating your mobility, or generally concerned about bone and joint health - we're here for you. Patients are what we're all about."

Proceeds from Hip Hip Hooray! are invested toward the advancement of orthopaedic research, education for professionals and patients, and improvements to patient care. Since 1992, Hip Hip Hooray! has raised almost $18 million.

Founded in 1965, the Canadian Orthopaedic Foundation is a mid-sized registered Canadian charity powered by a professional staff and network of over 300 volunteers. The Foundation is Canada's only charitable organization dedicated solely to helping people maintain and restore their bone and joint - or orthopaedic - health. The Foundation raises funds through public donations and allocates those funds to initiatives that will contribute to realizing its mission: to achieve excellence in bone and joint health, mobility and function for all Canadians through the advancement of research, education, and care.
