Hollywood Intermediate Installs a Barco Digital Cinema Projector in Its Color Grading Bay

GLENDALE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 15, 2006 -- Hollywood Intermediate, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: HYWI), a provider of digital intermediate film mastering services, announced today that it is installing a Barco D-Cine Premiere DP90 digital projector in its digital color grading bay.

The DP90 is a compact 2K digital cinema projector based on Texas Instruments' world renowned DLP cinema™ technology and has a native resolution of 2048 x 1080. Hollywood Intermediate Senior Colorist Julius Friede explains, "The digital projector will enhance the color grading process by providing a display that more closely mimics the theatrical experience, both in terms of color fidelity and the size of the image."

David Waters, President of Hollywood Intermediate, continues, "Filmlight's Truelight color calibration system, allows us to create a 3D look-up table for the projector that closely matches print film. When coupled with the Barco DP90 digital projector this provides the optimum environment for grading a feature film for a film release, and also enables us to create a DCI-compliant digital cinema master at the same time."
