Home Instead Senior Care Signs 1,000th Client in San Francisco

Milestone Highlights Ongoing Commitment to Helping Area Elderly

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - June 22, 2010) -  Home Instead Senior Care recently signed its 1,000th overall client in San Francisco, just seven years after opening its doors. Home Instead, a leading provider of in-home senior care, will commemorate this major milestone by making financial contributions to the Family Caregiver Alliance and Homecoming Transitional Care Program, further emphasizing its continued commitment to the community.

Home Instead supports Family Caregiver Alliance's objectives since this San Francisco-based nonprofit organization provides programs and services to caregivers at national, state and local levels. Likewise, Home Instead champions the Homecoming Transitional Care Program and its case managers who ensure seniors have a safe return home and recovery following hospital discharge. Homecoming Transitional Care Program is a hospital-to-home transitional care service.

"Giving back to the community that has supported us through the years is the perfect way to celebrate signing client No. 1,000," said Cathy Murphy, owner, Home Instead Senior Care. "Our relationships with organizations such as Family Caregiver Alliance and the Homecoming Transitional Care Program complement the work our CAREGivers provide to San Francisco seniors."

Home Instead CAREGivers perform meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands and engage in activities with seniors as well as provide them with companionship. Home Instead CAREGivers are thoroughly screened, trained, supervised and insured.
