Hong Kong Highpower Technology, Inc. Receives Two Honors From Industry Trade Association

SHENZHEN, CHINA and NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - February 16, 2010) - Hong Kong Highpower Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: HPJ), a leading developer, manufacturer and marketer of nickel-metal hydride (Ni-MH) and lithium-ion (Li-ion) rechargeable batteries and related products, announced today that it was recently awarded the honors of "Excellent Associator Unite from 2005 to 2009"and "Excellent Exporter Enterprise from 2005 to 2009" from the China Industrial Association of Power Sources (CIAPS).

The China Industrial Association of Power Sources is the biggest professional battery association in China. Since 2005, Hong Kong Highpower has annually been awarded the title of "Top Hundred Enterprises of the Battery Industry in China" by CIAPS. In 2009, Hong Kong Highpower ranked as the second largest net exporter of Ni-MH batteries in China according to a report issued by the CIAPS.
