Houston Seafood Restaurant, Monument Inn Marks 30th Anniversary in March

Waterfront Location Combines Fine Dining and Scenic Landmarks

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - February 15, 2010) - One of Houston's finest seafood restaurants, Monument Inn, will celebrate its 30th anniversary in March 2010. Noted for its fresh seafood, shrimp, oysters and enticing entrees, Monument Inn combines fine dining with a unique taste of history.

Located in South Houston, the restaurant overlooks one of the major Texas historic landmarks, the San Jacinto Battleground. The Battle of San Jacinto is regarded as one of the most pivotal moments in Texas history, marking Texas independence. To commemorate that battle, a memorial was constructed. It is the tallest war memorial in the world, standing 15 feet higher than the Washington Monument.

Owner Bob Laws is proud of the restaurant's tradition and looks forward to celebrating its 30th anniversary with loyal patrons and visitors to the city. While Houston has over 5,000 dining choices, Laws knows that his restaurant offers a dining experience unrivalled in the Houston and Gulf Coast area.

"Our loyal customers know that dining at Monument Inn is more than just the enjoyment of the highest quality seafood and shrimp," said Laws. "Diners can enjoy views of the Ship Channel and the amazing ships on the waterway, and view the world's tallest monument tower at the San Jacinto Battleground State Historic Site."

Monument Inn is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner. The restaurant has been a preferred destination for banquets, award dinners, corporate parties, wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners and other banquets and special events.
