Hubspan Execs Clarify the Many 'as a Service' Platforms at Cloud Expo

Hubspan's Chief Software Architect and Vice President of Product Management to Present "Which aaS is Right For You" at Upcoming Cloud Computing Conference & Expo in New York

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - April 16, 2010) -  Two industry experts in cloud architecture and security will be clarifying the many different "as a Service" (aaS) platforms during a presentation at the upcoming Cloud Computing Conference & Expo East, scheduled April 19-21 at the Javits Convention Center in New York City. The session, titled, "Which aaS is Right For You" will take place on April 21 from 2:35 - 3:20 p.m. as part of the Moving to the Cloud track, and will feature Max Coburn, Chief Software Architect, and Margaret Dawson, Vice President of Product Management. Both executives are from Hubspan, a leading provider of cloud-based business integration solutions, which is also a sponsor and exhibitor at the show.

The presentation will define and explore the many different "aaS" solutions on the market today, sorting through the hype and acronyms and giving real-world examples of when these consumption models work and when they don't. Dawson and Coburn will also explore the "build vs. buy" decision and when it may be the right time for a company to consider outsourcing. All attendees to the session will receive a special gift and be entered into a drawing for an iPod nano.

"As applications, business processes and infrastructure increasingly move to the cloud, it's important for companies to truly understand this delivery model and the benefits and challenges associated with as a service," said Margaret Dawson, vice president of marketing and product management, Hubspan. "While the cloud and 'as a service' solutions provide wonderful benefits around faster time to value, cost-effective subscription pricing and greater business agility, there are also potential challenges companies should consider concerning integration, interoperability, security and governance."

Hubspan executives will also be available for meetings and discussions in the Hubspan booth, #346, at the Cloud Computing Expo.

The Cloud Computing Conference and Expo is the world's leading cloud event and is organized by SYS-CON. It is held each year in California, New York, Prague, Tokyo and Hong Kong. Hubspan will also be a sponsor and exhibitor at the Cloud Computing Expo and Conference West, to be held November 1-3, 2010, at the Santa Clara Convention Center.
