Hudson's Bay Company Rallies Associates and Customers to Support Haitian Earthquake Relief Efforts

Canadian retailer donates $200,000 and launches national 'Donate Your Points' campaign

Following this week's devastating earthquake in Haiti, Hudson's Bay Company announced today the launch of a national 'Donate Your Points' campaign to help raise funds in support of relief efforts currently underway. In addition to the in-store campaign, Hudson's Bay Company through its Foundation, is also making a donation of $200,000 to the Canadian Red Cross.

Beginning today through to January 31, 2010, all 440 Bay, Zellers and Home Outfitters locations across Canada will offer Canadians the opportunity to contribute to relief efforts by donating their HBC Rewards points to the Canadian Red Cross Haiti Earthquake fund. In addition to making donations in-store, customers and associates can donate online through Online donations are currently being accepted and will continue after January 31, 2010.

Customers who wish to continue supporting the Haiti earthquake relief efforts beyond January 31, 2010 may do so by visiting and registering their on-going commitment to the Canadian Red Cross through the HBC Rewards Community Program. Donations can also be made directly to the Canadian Red Cross at, by calling toll free 1-800-418-1111 or at any Red Cross office.
