Hybrid Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB: HYBT) Press Release Correction Regarding the NYC Taxi and Limousine Commission Approval

NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- September 21, 2006 -- The board of Hybrid Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB: HYBT) ( would like to submit the following correction for public clarification:

The unanimous approval of the lithium powered taxi was given by the New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) under Commissioner Matthew Daus and Mayor Michael Bloomberg, not the City Commissioners of New York.

Hybrid Technologies would like to apologize for any confusion related to this error.

Hybrid Technologies has emerged as a corporate leader in the development and marketing of lithium powered products around the globe, including advanced vehicles. New York City stands as a symbol of American innovation, and now, Hybrid Technologies and New York City join together to proudly present the world's first lithium powered taxi -- the L-PT Cruiser Yellow Cab.

By October of 2006, Big Apple visitors and residents can hail an environmentally friendly Yellow Cab thanks to the unanimously approved use of Hybrid Technologies' L-PT Cruiser with the accompanying support of Commissioner Matthew Daus and Mayor Bloomberg's administration.

TLC is committed to advancements in its vehicles for the benefit of cleaner air in its communities.

The fuel-free cab is a Daimler Chrysler PT Cruiser converted by Hybrid Technologies to support greener transportation in a city where traffic never sleeps. The 312 V, 67 MS electrical drive created by Ballard Power Systems provides superior design and durability for the rigors of navigating city congestion. The L-PT Cruiser can run for approximately 120 miles before requiring an electrical charge. The TLC will highlight this progressive vehicle's role in its clean air program during the 100th anniversary of the Yellow Cab in 2007.
