IAQA Announces New Local Chapter to Serve the IAQ Industry

St. Paul/Minneapolis Chapter Now Officially Open

ROCKVILLE, MD--(Marketwire - April 23, 2008) - Indoor air quality (IAQ) managers, consultants and contractors now have local Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA) chapters in the St. Paul/Minneapolis area. The addition of the new local chapter increases the number of IAQA chapters worldwide to 41.

IAQA chapters offer workshops and career development for IAQ professionals. Chapter events allow the diverse range of professionals, managers and tradespersons who prevent, diagnose and solve IAQ problems to network, share and learn from one another. "The addition of new chapters continues the association's goal of bringing the benefits of IAQA membership to local and regional areas for our members," said Glenn Fellman, executive director of IAQA.

The IAQA St.Paul/Minneapolis Chapter Director is Thomas L. Kapfer of Michaels Engineering, Inc. The new chapter will be announcing their inaugural workshop and schedule for the rest of the year at

"As IAQA continues its growth, the chapter network has become an invaluable part of our member benefits," said IAQA President, Tom Yacobellis. Additional chapters are expected to open in 2008 to serve members in areas without a local chapter.

The local IAQA chapters offer many unique resources for members. Chapter membership is included in the cost of IAQA membership, giving all members automatic access to these local chapters. Most chapters have 2 to 4 educational workshops yearly. Workshops typically consist of half-day to full-day presentations from leading industry professionals and provide an environment for the exchange of ideas and contacts.

IAQ professionals and those involved with IAQ issues can learn more about the local IAQA chapter program by contacting the IAQA Chapter Relations Manager, Ben Auman, at 301-231-8388 or at
