IC Places Signs Eric Kennedy, a Former President of Dupont Registry, as Editor in Chief

ORLANDO, FL -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 11, 2006 -- IC Places, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: ICPL) announced today that is has signed Eric Kennedy, former President and Editor in Chief of DuPont Registry, as IC Places' Editor in Chief.

As Editor in Chief, Kennedy will spearhead the company's global editorial initiative. ICPL has developed a proprietary Author's Program. Through the program, IC Places gives local writers online access to write and edit stories. The Author writes an article in the web interface and hits submit when finished. Automatically, one of Kennedy's senior editors receives notice that an article awaits approval. Once a senior editor approves the article it is immediately placed into the pre-selected city site and section and available online.

Recently, Mergent's Editorial Board approved ICPL for a listing in Mergent Manuals and News Reports™. The Mergent Industrial Manual and News Reports™ is a recognized securities manual in 38 states for purposes of Blue Sky Manual Exemption.
