IESO Seeks Director Candidates

ROCKVILLE, MD--(Marketwire - August 4, 2008) - Candidates are being considered for the Board of Directors of the Indoor Environmental Standards Organization (IESO). Each year IESO elects 2-3 individuals to serve on its board. Directors serve three-year terms. IESO is a non-profit organization and board positions are filled by volunteers.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate experience in the governance of non-profit organizations; standards-making; and/or successful business experience. Candidates must be able to defray travel expenses to attend up to two board meetings annually and must commit approximately 5 to 10 hours per month to IESO activities.

Candidates for the IESO Board of Directors do not need to hold membership in any particular industry association, nor hold any specific industry certification. However, extended membership terms within industry associations, including leadership positions, will be viewed favorably, as will having achieved distinction in a career or profession through academic credentials, licenses and voluntary certifications.

A slate of proposed IESO Directors for the 2008 election is expected to be presented to the IESO Board for consideration at their meeting in September. Those elected to the Board will begin serving three-year volunteer terms in October 2008.
