IMG Academies Announces Restructured International Performance Institute

BRADENTON, FL--(Marketwire - January 24, 2008) - IMG Academies (IMGA) is pleased to announce that the International Performance Institute (IPI), a long-time staple for athletic development, has recently been repositioned to encompass 6 internal subdivisions, namely Bollettieri Sports Medicine Center (BSMC), Mental Conditioning (MC), Leadership, game on, The Wellness Spa, The Nutrition Division, and Tom Shaw Performance Enhancement (TSP).

Tom Shaw and HJ Adams will lead physical conditioning. Shaw has worked extensively with elite football athletes and has a wealth of experience in the development of tennis, basketball, baseball, and soccer athletes. HJ Adams has spent the last 3 seasons with the strength and conditioning division at the New Orleans Saints and will coordinate Tom's division at IMGA with performance coaches.

Chris Passarella is the new Director of Mental Conditioning. Chris begins his 7th year with IMGA and looks to continue the strong development that IMG Academies MC has seen in the last 4 years.

Dr. Sally Parsonage will head our Nutrition Division, bringing an internationally established pedigree in the field. Sally has provided nutritional guidance to athletes in a wide range of team and individual sports.

Kevin Murdoch has taken over as Director of the Bollettieri Sports Medicine Center (BSMC). The BSMC has developed a comprehensive and custom-designed approach to rehabilitation. They are also noted for helping athletes prevent and recover from injuries and/or surgery.

game on Media is run by two top-level consultants, Steve Shenbaum and Blair Blumesten. Shenbaum has consulted with the NBA, the NFL Referees, and the San Francisco 49ers' QB Alex Smith.

IPI will be directed and overseen by Trevor Moawad, the former Director of Mental Conditioning. His clients solicited for IMGA include the Miami Dolphins, the Jacksonville Jaguars, FSU Basketball and Soccer, Michigan Soccer, and Michael Johnson Performance in Dallas.
