INFRAX Systems (IFXY) Announces Hosted ASP Version of the Opticon Network Manager™ Platform

Solutions Provider Launches SaaS Product

ST. PETERSBURG, FL--(Marketwire - April 5, 2010) - INFRAX Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: IFXY), a global provider of interrelated operational management, and communications related products and services for the Telecommunications and Energy industry, today announced that it is making the management of communications infrastructure easier and more cost effective for utilities, companies and municipalities with its new OptiCon Software as a Service (SaaS) program. The new OptiCon On-Line application offers clients a robust Internet-based infrastructure management solution with minimal IT investment.

OptiCon On-Line delivers a complete version of INFRAX's flagship OptiCon Network Manager™ directly to a client via a secure Internet portal. The software, tailored for use in a hosted environment, will be housed at a remote location and is available two ways: as an application fully hosted and supported by INFRAX or an INFRAX integration partner.

OptiCon On-Line users will not have to make a front-end investment in buying, installing and configuring hardware and software, reducing capital expenditure. Additionally, the monthly service fee will include all necessary licensing, secure back up of customer information and software updates. Furthermore, the OptiCon On-Line provides our integration partners with a recurring revenue stream and will allow our partners to offer co-branded or private labeled solutions.

The Opticon SaaS program has a number of advantages:

  • Secure Data Storage and Back Up
  • Scalability -- Licenses are available from 1 user to over 1,000 users
  • Redundancy
  • Reduced Capital Expenditure
  • Full Functionality

"INFRAX has always been committed to providing our customers with flexible, scalable, cost effective solutions and the addition of the On-Line version of the OptiCon Network Manager™ platform, is a logical next step," said Paul J. Aiello, CEO of INFRAX Systems.

INFRAX is currently evaluating proposals from local data centers to host this application, as well as its planned Smart Grid SaaS application, and will be announcing the selection of a hosting partner in the near future. The OptiCon On-Line application is anticipated to be available for distribution in June 2010.
