Illinois Technology Association (ITA) Announces Nominees for 11th Annual CityLIGHTS Awards Gala

Nominees Represent Preeminent Companies and Individuals From the Illinois Technology Community


CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - March 25, 2010) -  The Illinois Technology Association (ITA) proudly announces the nominees for the 11th annual CityLIGHTS Awards Gala.

With over 150 nominations across 6 categories, the list of nominees represents the foremost individuals and companies within the Illinois technology community. From the broad range of products, services, and businesses in all stages of development, the 2010 nominees represent the growing vitality of the technology ecosystem.

The Award categories include 3 individual awards and 3 business awards. The individual awards include CityLIGHTS Award, given to an individual who has made a significant impact on the Illinois technology community, the CEO of the Year Award, given to the CEO who has driven his or her company to prominence in the past year, and the Spotlight Award, given to the CTO/CIO for leadership and outstanding contributions in the application of technology. The business awards include the Lighthouse Award, given to the company which best represents the region's growing stature as home to world-class technology companies, the Rising Star Award, given to the company which has emerged from its start-up phase to distinguish itself in the technology marketplace, and the Newcomer Award, given to the company that has the strongest potential to emerge from its start-up phase and distinguish itself in the technology marketplace.
