India Globalization Capital Completes Annual Meeting of Shareholders

BETHESDA, MD--(Marketwire - August 17, 2010) -  India Globalization Capital, Inc. (NYSE Amex: IGC), a company competing in the rapidly growing materials and infrastructure industry in India, announced that it had completed the requirement set out by NYSE AMEX for gaining compliance, by holding its annual meeting of Shareholders. The shareholder meeting, held on August 16, 2010, covered the fiscal years 2009 and 2010 and resulted in the election of three directors and ratification of the appointment of Yoganandh & Ram ("Y&R") as the Company's independent registered public accounting firm for the 2011 fiscal year.
