Industrial Info Hosts 2010 Industrial Market Outlook Event at the Hilton Americas in Downtown Houston

SUGAR LAND, TX--(Marketwire - January 19, 2010) - Experts from the power, oil and gas, and chemical processing industries will present their 2010 outlook for North American industrial spending and job creation, with special emphasis on the Gulf Coast region and its largest industries, in an executive briefing to be held on Wednesday, January 27, at the Hilton Americas, 1600 Lamar, in downtown Houston. The event will run from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Ballroom of the Americas on the second floor of the Hilton Americas.

"In our newly released 2010 Global Industrial Outlook, Industrial Info is tracking a healthy amount of spending this year in the electric power industry in Texas and the southwestern U.S.," said Michael Bergen, Industrial Info's senior vice president for marketing. "We see a recovery in spending in the chemical processing industry in 2010. Project spending in the oil and gas industry, including the upsteam, midstream, and downstream sectors, will be about the same as 2009."

This briefing will be hosted by Industrial Info Resources, a Sugar Land-based industrial market-intelligence firm. The briefing is complimentary and includes a networking reception where participants can speak with Industrial Info's industry experts. Attendance is limited and requires an RSVP. Interested executives are encouraged to register in advance by calling Industrial Info's member services department at 800-762-3361 or by clicking here. So far, more than 450 business professionals, including senior mgt. executives, have registered for this event.

"The new year presents new opportunities and new trends that will be discussed by our experts at our Twenty-Ten Industrial Market Outlook. As the U.S. continues its slow emergence from the recession, consumer confidence is increasing, industrial spending is trending upward, inventories are being rebuilt, and jobs will be created. We already see that dynamic underway in some industries," Bergen said.

Industrial Info is tracking more than $340 billion in U.S. industrial project spending opportunities in 12 separate industrial markets. All of these projects are scheduled to kick-off in 2010. Researchers working on five continents continually confirm and update Industrial Info's project-spending data as part of the firm's unique quality assurance program, which it has trademarked as the Living Forward Reporting Principle™.

"Our Twenty-Ten Industrial Market Outlook is a must-attend event for business leaders and decision-makers in Texas and the southwestern U.S. who have interests in the industrial process, heavy manufacturing, and energy related markets," Bergen said. "Right now we are tracking 860 projects across 12 industries in the Southwestern U.S. with a total investment value (TIV) exceeding $65 billion."

Industrial Info's databases track multiple projects from segment-leading engineering and construction firms like Jacobs Engineering Group Incorporated (NYSE:JEC) (Pasadena, California), Fluor Corporation (NYSE:FLR) (Irving, Texas), CH2M Hill, and Bechtel.

Among energy companies, Industrial Info is tracking billions of dollars in construction projects from Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) (Irving, Texas), FPL Group (NYSE:FPL) (Juno Beach, Florida), BP plc (London, England), and NRG Energy (Princeton, New Jersey).

"There continues to be a high level of uncertainty in industrial markets, but this event and our annual Global Industrial Outlook provide decision-makers with up to the minute, forward-looking, market intelligence that gives them a vital edge to better plan for their future business-development efforts," Bergen said.

The event is open to business leaders, including chief executives, presidents, senior vice presidents, vice presidents, directors, principals, and marketing and sales professionals at engineering & construction firms, general contractors, architect and engineering firms, industrial equipment vendors, oil and gas companies, utilities, consultants, manufacturers' representatives, financial services firms, labor organizations, and professional-services firms.
