Industry Thought-Leaders and Practitioners Share Ideas and Best Practices on New Web Analytics Association Blog

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - November 13, 2007) - Today the Web Analytics Association (WAA) announced that it has launched a blog open to all of its members to discuss and debate the hot topics, emerging trends and innovative technologies in the web analytics industry. The open read format of the WAA blog provides an opportunity for all of its members, from directors, committee chairs and practitioners alike, to write to a larger Internet audience about topics that are driving the evolution of the industry.

The WAA is an international organization with over 1400 members spanning 39 countries. Naturally, the WAA turned to social media as a way to stay connected on initiatives across the organization's committees. Beyond official WAA business, the organization's members will use the new blog as a platform to speak and express their thoughts and opinions on growing trends and industry news.

"This was a joint effort between the Marketing Committee and the Social Media Committee," WAA Director Marshall Sponder said. "Marketing wanted to encourage communications with and among our members. And what better way to do it than through a social media vehicle like a blog? Blogs are the place where real people speak (and disagree) -- and that's what we hope to see in the new WAA Blog."

All members in good standing with the WAA are invited to post on the blog and connect with peers in the analytics industry around the world. Reading the blog is open to members and non-members alike. Visitors can expect to see lively conversations, musings and debates around the topics of conversion rates, measurement platforms, social media, behavioral targeting, and all things analytics.
