BELLEVUE, WA--(Marketwire - April 15, 2010) - Esterline Corporation, (NYSE: ESL) (www.esterline.com), a leading specialty manufacturer serving the aerospace and defense markets, today announced the promotion of Dennis Staver to President of its Interface Technologies platform, which includes three human-machine interface companies. He'll also serve as direct President for one of those companies, Esterline Advanced Input Systems, based in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Staver has more than 30 years of relevant work experience ranging from military service to manufacturing management. Most recently he spent four years at Esterline's Power Systems operation in Southern California where he served as Vice President of Operations and Chief Operations Officer. During his tenure he helped lead the company to achieve record profits and implement successful Lean manufactuing processes.

Esterline CEO Brad Lawrence said, "Dennis has a very impressive track record of achievements in multiple disciplines. Combining his experience and talents with those of our existing strong team of professionals gives us confidence we will be able to accelerate our progress in what is already Esterline's fastest growing business area."

Staver's prior experience includes work with global companies including Lockheed, Telair, and Applied Power. He also served in the United States Marine Corps as a Top Gun fighter pilot. Staver has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio and he graduated from UCLA's John E.
