IneoQuest Expands Geminus™ Product Line for Scalable and Cost-Effective Video Traffic Monitoring and Analysis

New Geminus G10 Mid Enables Effortless Upgrade to Support Video Traffic up to 5Gb on a 10Gb Network; IneoQuest Announces Promotional Pricing for New and Existing Customers

MANSFIELD, MA--(Marketwire - December 16, 2009) - IneoQuest Technologies, Inc., the global provider of advanced quality and service assurance solutions for digital video, today announced that it has expanded its Geminus™ family of products to include the Geminus G10 Mid, offering cable and telecommunications providers a scalable method for monitoring and analyzing video traffic up to 5Gb on a 10Gb network. With an effortless license upgrade from the base platform and no additional hardware, the Geminus G10 Mid is a cost-effective way for providers to add network monitoring coverage immediately while expanding bandwidth to meet subscriber demand for more services and remain competitive.

As a result of video on demand, high-definition channels and other advanced services that increase traffic flow and require more bandwidth, the industry is increasingly turning to 10Gb networks. The Geminus family is the industry's first and most advanced suite of 1Gb to 10Gb digital video monitoring, analysis and testing tools. Designed as a rack mount-style enclosure, housing one or two systems, the Geminus family ensures ease of installation and meets strict NEBS requirements, making it ideal for permanent installations for either labs, commissioning systems or pre/post deployment at the headend, core or hub.

IneoQuest has long provided Geminus G10 Base and Geminus G10 Max platforms capable of monitoring and analyzing 3Gb and 10Gb traffic on a 10Gb network connection. IneoQuest has developed the Geminus G10 Mid to answer customer need for a midrange Geminus product that can also scale for growth. Along with 5Gb traffic support, the Geminus G10 Mid provides simultaneous and continuous monitoring and analysis of live IP video flows, up to 1,500 in real-time and up to 96,000 MPEG transport stream elements (PIDs), with deep MPEG packet analysis for remote monitoring, troubleshooting and testing. Users can start at the Base model (3Gb) and upgrade to other Geminus G10 platforms, including the Geminus G10 Mid, based on their bandwidth demands by leveraging a simple license key, immediately adding more traffic and network coverage.

The Geminus G10 Mid, like all Geminus platforms, provides IneoQuest-patented Media Delivery Index (MDI - RFC #4445) metrics in real-time and simultaneously on all IP video flows, enabling recommended practices to easily measure the quality of the MPEG video transport stream, including jitter and packet loss at the network level. The Geminus G10 Mid is also supported by IneoQuest's management system and software applications, including the IneoQuest iVMS™ management system and IQMediaAnalyzer Pro™. Using the Geminus G10 Mid with IneoQuest's iVMS system enables providers to view and analyze in real-time the health of the entire video distribution network and quickly troubleshoot video quality issues before subscribers are impacted.

To provide additional value, IneoQuest is offering promotional prices for the Geminus G10 Mid to existing and new customers now through January 31, 2010. Current Geminus G10 Base customers (3Gb video traffic monitoring bandwidth) can purchase an upgrade license to the Geminus G10 Mid at a significantly reduced price. For new customers, the Geminus G10 Mid is being offered at the price of the Geminus G10 Base -- enabling 5Gb of monitoring for the price of 3Gb.

"Adding network bandwidth and accommodating increases in traffic flow is becoming a concern for providers offering cutting-edge services like video on demand and high-definition channels. In fact, we're seeing more providers who are building out their networks to support 10Gb or increasing the loads on their current 10Gb networks and need to monitor over 3Gbs worth of traffic," said Calvin Harrison, vice president of marketing and business development at IneoQuest. "Providers need scalable monitoring and analysis tools that provide high value, including advanced capabilities at a reasonable price per flow per gigabyte. Like all of our Geminus G10 platforms, the Geminus G10 Mid grows with our customers' network requirements and enables them to focus on providing exceptional services to their subscribers."
