Info Security Products Guide Names SEDA Council of Governments the Winner of a 2010 Best Deployment Scenario Award

Sendio Customer Selected as Winner in Anti-Spam as a Managed Service Category

NEWPORT BEACH, CA--(Marketwire - August 17, 2010) -  Sendio, Inc., developer of the only email system protection solution to utilize self-managing dynamic whitelists which totally eliminate email attacks and abuse, today announced that Info Security Products Guide has named SEDA Council of Governments (SEDA-COG) winner of the 2010 Best Deployment Scenario Award in the Anti-spam as a Managed Service category. This yearly award highlights situations where security vendors help set the bar higher for others in all areas of information security. SEDA-COG, a development agency comprised of eleven member counties in Pennsylvania, was selected for their deployment of Sendio's cloud-based email system protection service, Full Defense, which resulted in a 97% reduction of the bandwidth used for email and total elimination of junk email.

SEDA-COG contacted Sendio as part of a larger agency initiative to move a number of IT applications to cloud-based services in order to improve application performance over limited bandwidth. Working closely with Sendio engineers, SEDA-COG migrated to Sendio Full Defense service in 2009, saving the agency nearly 100 man-hours each week, drastically reducing email bandwidth requirements and removing the heavy mail load off of the agency's Microsoft Exchange server.

"The most powerful message security vendors can ever give to prove their capabilities and continued commitment in solving customers' security needs is through successful deployments," said Rake Narang, editor-in-chief, Info Security Products Guide. "Sendio's successful deployment at SEDA Council of Governments helped solve the critical problem of securing company email, while leveraging the benefits of a managed anti-spam service -- freeing up critical internal resources and network bandwidth for other projects."

"We're pleased to be recognized by Info Security Products Guide in this important category," said Jonathan Niednagel, chief executive officer of Sendio. "Our team of email experts works closely with customers to not only deliver solutions that secure the email network, but also address their most pressing IT needs. In the case of SEDA-COG, this meant maximizing internal IT time and resources. Sendio's managed anti-spam service, Full Defense, allowed the agency to do precisely that, freeing up valuable bandwidth, and greatly reducing the internal resources dedicated to email. We are delighted to have had the opportunity to work with SEDA-COG on this particular project, and see them obtain the measurable results that they did."
