Initial Tropical Plants Appoints Bob Thomas as North American President

RIVERWOODS, IL -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 30, 2006 -- Initial Tropical Plants, www.initialplants.com, the largest provider of interior landscaping, design installation and maintenance services to businesses in North America, announces the appointment of Bob Thomas as President of Initial Tropical Plants. Initial Tropical Plants' previous president, Jeff Mariola, was promoted to Managing Director, Tropical Plants, earlier this year.

Prior to joining Initial Tropical Plants, Thomas was a senior level executive with significant P&L successes achieved across a wide range of business environments including American Hospital Supply Corporation, CHEP North America and the Pepsi-Cola Company. Most recently, Thomas served as CEO for We Learn Here, Inc., a US and South Korean e-learning company. At Owens Corning, Bob was President of the company's HOMExperts division.
