TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 24, 2007) - Inspiration Mining Corporation (the "Corporation") (TSX VENTURE:ISM) is pleased to announce the results of the continuation of their diamond drilling program on its Langmuir Project, located in Langmuir Township south of Timmins, Ontario. The Langmuir Property consists of 69 unpatented contiguous mining claim units covering approximately 1090 hectares in the north-central portion of Langmuir Township, Porcupine Mining Division, and District of Cochrane, Ontario. The property is approximately 25 km southeast of Timmins, Ontario, and hosts the past producing Langmuir No.1 Mine, and majority of the past producing Langmuir No. 2 Mine.

Inspiration has commenced drilling the Langmuir Project after the Christmas Holidays. One drill is continuing the detail fill-in drill program at the Langmuir No.1 Mine, which is designed to complete the definition of the nickel bearing mineralization below the 300-foot mine level to a vertical depth of approximately 900 feet below surface and deeper.

The second drill has been moved to the Langmuir No.2 Mine - South Zone to test the down dip and down plunge nickel mineralization.

Drill hole L106-10 was drilled 43.27m mine grid east and beneath previously released drill holes L105-5 and L105-6. L106-10 intersected the nickel mineralization approximately 232 feet or 71 metres down dip from the 315 foot mine level and approximately 112 feet or 34 metres down dip from hole L105-6. The intersection is approximately 526 feet or 160 metres vertically below surface.

Drill holes L106-11 and L106-12 were drilled from the same setup as L106-10 and are approximately 113 and 226 feet or 34 and 68 metres, respectively, down dip of L106-10. The intersections are approximately 649 and 752 feet or 198 and 229 metres vertically below surface.

Drill holes L106-13 and L106-14 were drilled 31.7m mine grid south and 5.8m mine grid west of previously released drill holes L105-5 and L105-6. L106-13 and L106-14 intersected the nickel mineralization approximately 128 feet or 39 metres and 279 feet or 85 metres down dip from the 315 foot mine level.

Hole L106-13 was drilled to intersect the nickel mineralization located in Timmins Nickel underground drill hole LH-7, which contained 4.07% Ni over 12.4 feet (3.78m) or 1.98m true width and 0.376% Ni over 35 feet (10.67m) or 5.59m true width.

Holes L106-13 and L106-14 were drilled to intersect the nickel mineralization, up dip and down dip respectively, located in INCO's historical surface drill hole No. 30725 from 345 to 486 feet (105.16 to 148.13m) consisting of 0.477% Ni over 141 feet (42.98m) or 29.80m true width and containing 0.810% Ni over 15 feet (4.57m) or 3.17m true width and 0.803% Ni over 15 feet (4.57m) or 3.17m true width.

The nickel bearing sulphide mineralization, with estimations ranging from 1% to 20% fine grained disseminatations up to massive 100% sulphides, is contained within serpentenized komatiitic ultramaftic extrusive flows with occasional spinifex texture.

The assaying technique used is the industry standard for base metal assaying, which uses nitric and hydrochloric acids that extracts nickel only from sulphide mineralization and not from nickel silicate minerals.

The assaying of split core samples was conducted by Swastika Laboratories, and included the insertion of blanks and standards. The Qualified Person in charge of the Langmuir Project and the person who prepared the technical data in this release is Kian Jensen, B.Sc., P.Geo. (Ont).

The Corporation announces that Mr. Tremblay has resigned for personal reasons as a director of the Corporation effective January 19, 2007. The Corporation would like to thank Mr. Tremblay for his contributions to the Corporation and to wish Mr. Tremblay success in his future endeavours.
