Intercim Receives Patent for Editing Process

Company awarded patent # 7,509,297 B2

ST. PAUL, MINNESOTA--(Marketwire - June 24, 2009) - Intercim, LLC, a global leader in manufacturing operation management (MOM) software, announced today it has been awarded a patent for its "editing process for an explanatory model."

According to the patent office, this process includes a step for producing the explanatory model in the form of a set of rules. The rules are represented by logical combinations of elementary premises, with each premise including a restriction of the field of the variable. In addition, the process also encompasses a step for modifying at least part of the initial rules, to determine a new explanatory model.

In layman's terms, this means that the technology that lies behind Intercim's software solution - and in particular the Rules Discovery module of the Suite - is now recognized for its uniqueness in the industry.

As John Todd, Intercim's President and CEO explains, "We've been working hard to protect and patent our technology and we are pleased that the US Patent Office has recognized the uniqueness of our offerings."
