International Chemical Engineering Expert Dr. Sagar Gadewar Joins Carbon Sciences as Advisor

Process and Systems Specialist to Help the Company Develop Its Breakthrough Technology

SANTA BARBARA, CA--(Marketwire - November 1, 2007) - Carbon Sciences, Inc. (OTCBB: CABN), the developer of a breakthrough technology to transform earth destroying carbon dioxide (CO2) into earth friendly carbon products, today announced that chemical process and systems specialist, Dr. Sagar B. Gadewar, has joined its technical advisory board.

Dr. Sagar Gadewar is an international specialist in the area of chemical process and product development. Over his career he has worked for numerous industrial companies, such as PDC, Inc., where he helped Fortune 500 companies in the chemical, pharmaceutical and consumer products sector, formulate new process and product solutions. Dr. Gadewar's international accolades include receiving the American Institute of Chemical Engineer's Ted Peterson Award, and Computers and Chemical Engineering's Best Paper of the Year Award.

Dr. Gadewar has substantial experience in developing process alternatives to reduce capital and operating costs using hierarchical process design and optimization. His expertise includes reaction combined with distillation, conceptual design for complex chemistries, and gas-to-liquids conversion. Dr. Gadewar is currently a Senior Program Manager at GRT Inc., where he is responsible for developing the technology to convert natural gas to liquids and other petrochemicals. He is also serving as chairperson for the Process Research and Innovation area of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.

Commenting on his joining Carbon Sciences, Dr. Gadewar said, "Not a day goes by that I don't hear something about natural disasters and environmental problems caused by global warming as a result of excess CO2 levels in the Earth's atmosphere. Carbon Sciences' approach of transforming CO2 directly into a raw material that can be used in building materials, paper, plastics, fertilizers and other industrial applications makes a great deal of sense. The current alternative of burying CO2 in underground caverns and ocean floor using carbon sequestration technology doesn't make sense from an economic and environmental perspective. The challenge for Carbon Sciences will be to develop energy-efficient and cost-effective processes. This is where my specialty lies and I am very excited to be on board."

"We are very fortunate and honored to have Dr. Gadewar join our team," said Derek McLeish, the Company's CEO. "Deploying solutions for CO2 reduction is quickly becoming a top priority in global political and legislative campaigns. The timing for our carbon transformation technology couldn't be better. We are working diligently to execute our product development plan. With Dr. Gadewar's background and unique skill set, I believe we will be able to confidently achieve our near and long term business objectives."
