International Paper, Weyerhaeuser Announce Improvements in Fourth Quarter After Difficult Year, an Industrial Info News Alert

SUGAR LAND, TX--(Marketwire - February 8, 2010) - Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) -- Paper and packaging firm International Paper Company (NYSE:IP) (Memphis, Tennessee) and forest products firm Weyerhaeuser Company (NYSE:WY) (Federal Way, Washington) both reported earnings gains for the fourth quarter and full year of 2009, when compared to 2008. However, both companies saw an overall decline in net sales.
