Ipswitch, Inc. Unveils New Corporate Structure and Leadership

Company Appoints Two Key Executives, Gary Shottes and Tripp Allen, as Division Presidents; Warren K. Neuburger Joins Ipswitch as President of Network Management Division

LEXINGTON, MA--(Marketwire - January 7, 2008) - Ipswitch, Inc., a leading developer of network management, messaging, and secure and managed file transfer solutions, announced today the restructuring of the company and the naming of three executives to leadership positions. By creating three divisions, Ipswitch is building on the company's 16-year history of annual growth and preparing for its next phase. Under the new structure, former Ipswitch vice president of sales Gary Shottes has been appointed president of the file transfer division and former vice president of messaging Tripp Allen takes on the position of president of the messaging division. The company separately announced the appointment of Warren K. Neuburger as president of the network management division ( Each division president will report to CEO Roger Greene.

The new structure is recognition that while all of Ipswitch's products are IT-related, they are each in distinct markets. In summary:

--  WhatsUp Gold, the company's flagship network management solution, is
    an award-winning favorite among companies of all sizes;
--  WS_FTP is the most widely used file transfer solution; and,
--  Ipswitch IMail Server product is a secure, easily installed and simple-
    to-use messaging and collaboration product.

Most recently, Gary Shottes served as vice president of sales at Ipswitch where he was instrumental in managing the company's worldwide sales strategy through direct, distributor, reseller and OEM sales relationships. In his new role as president of the file transfer division, Shottes brings a depth of knowledge in identifying opportunities and the ability to look beyond traditional markets and segments. With his extensive sector-specific expertise and experience in setting up sales structures and implementing indirect sales strategies, Shottes is uniquely qualified to lead the group and to achieve division objectives.

In his previous position as vice president of product management for the Ipswitch messaging product, Tripp Allen was focused on developing a family of streamlined, innovative and flexible messaging products that met users' evolving needs. As president of the messaging division Allen is responsible for setting worldwide product strategy and overseeing the development and customer acceptance of the messaging product line at Ipswitch. Allen is focused on integrating emerging technologies and processes into the product line to further build out Ipswitch's messaging products as collaborative messaging tools.

Warren K. Neuburger joins Ipswitch as president of the network management division. Neuburger brings 30 years of experience in both start-up and public companies. This includes a strong track record establishing emerging divisions as market leaders, creating new market segments, driving global channel strategies, developing market leadership positions and overseeing partnerships with Novell, IBM, Intel, Oracle and others.
