Ireland's Flagship Carrier, Aer Lingus, Selects GuestLogix Onboard Store Technology to Grow Ancillary Sales and Enhance Passenger Service

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 29, 2010) - GuestLogix, Inc. (TSX:GXI) the leading global provider of onboard store technology to the airline industry, today announced that Aer Lingus, Ireland's flagship carrier, has selected GuestLogix onboard retail technology and OnTouch™ merchandising platform to deploy on all its flights representing approximately 10.5 million passenger trips annually. Aer Lingus will use the GuestLogix onboard retail solution to enhance passenger service by accepting card payments and introducing new travel-relevant, destination-based products and services which will be offered during flight and on the ground.

"GuestLogix provides us the necessary retail technology to support our goal as a value airline providing more benefit-driven a la carte paid options to our customers," said Mr. Steve Kelly, Head of Cabin Operations and Inflight Sales at Aer Lingus. "Its OnTouch™ merchandising platform provides the potential to drive more profitable growth through more travel touch points with our passengers."

The multi-year agreement with Aer Lingus represents the second major Irish carrier that GuestLogix has secured as a customer. GuestLogix will be providing PCI-complaint point-of-sale (POS) handheld devices featuring Chip and PIN card processing, device management back-office software, and OnTouch™ merchandising. The Company collaborated with European-based Logica to complete the end-to-end implementation design by integrating sales planning, warehouse and packing process management, logistics, accounting, reconciliation and sales analysis already licensed by the airline.

Recognized as the "Best Airline to Europe", for the second year in a row, by the Irish Travel Trade News Awards, Aer Lingus operates on a low-cost, low fare model. In addition to revenue from low fares, Aer Lingus also generates revenue from the sale of ancillary products and services which include in-flight merchandise, beverages, hot and cold meals. The GuestLogix onboard retail platform will integrate the sale of these items and much more based on specific routings and passenger demographics.

"Low cost doesn't necessarily have to equate to low service as Aer Lingus has so clearly proven," said Mr. Tom Douramakos President and CEO at GuestLogix. "Our onboard retail technology platform will enable Aer Lingus to take its onboard retail operations to a whole new dimension without additional costs. With our state-of-the-art secure POS handhelds and software the airline will be able to speed up card payments for better service, while protecting payment transactions, reducing risk and fraud, and minimizing merchant acquirer costs."

Aer Lingus maintains code share agreements with United Air Lines, British Airways, and KLM, all GuestLogix customers who have deployed the same onboard retail platform thus providing a consistent onboard retail experience to travellers across the airline's extended network.

"Finally, our OnTouch™ merchandising will allow Aer Lingus to create a value-added, ongoing relationship with their customers, by contributing to their overall travel needs and preferences," added Mr. Douramakos.
