Now anyone can bring to life their presentations, share pictures with friends or entertain the kids with movies all while on the go with 3M's newest handheld projector, the 3M(TM) MPro120 Pocket Projector. Less than a year after launching the MPro110 - the handheld digital projector that won the "Grand Award" in the gadget category of the Popular Science 2008 Best of What's New Awards - today 3M announced the Canadian debut of the MPro120, the newest member of the MPro family. The MPro120 provides improved functionality, increased portability, an expanded feature set all while fitting in the palm of your hand.

The MPro120 is the first projector to incorporate 3M's MM200 projection engine. Announced at the 2009 Consumer Electronics Show, the MM200 uses an advanced liquid crystal on silicon (LCOS) electronic imager and boasts enhanced image quality with full colour gamut.

The 3M MPro120 provides users with a robust, two-hour battery life - enough to watch a full-length film - and achieves a brightness rating of 12 lumens, giving it the highest luminosity of any handheld projector currently available. Featuring an integrated flipstand, protective sleeve, stereo speakers and multiple input cables, the MPro120 is ready to use "out-of-the-box" for most consumer applications. Optional accessories include a 3M adapter cable for Apple IPods, component video cable and car charger.

"Following the success of the MPro110, the debut of the MPro120 will further reinforce 3M's leadership position in the development and implementation of advanced projection technologies," said Leanne Hayward, marketing manager, 3M Projection Systems department. "The functionality of the MPro120 represents technical achievements that were manageable only by the long-term commitment to research and development that is 3M's hallmark."

The MPro120 will be on-sale at select retail locations starting October 1st, 2009 with a suggested retail price of $430. Optional accessories are sold separately. For more information, visit www.3m.ca/mpro.
