It's Now Officially Kosher to Clean Up Life's Messes With SpongeTowels Ultra!

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 8, 2010) -

Just in time for Passover, SpongeTowels Ultra, Canada's premium paper towel, is now certified Kosher. The product was recently granted Kosher certification and permission to use the Kashruth Council of Canada seal on its packaging following a thorough inspection of its manufacturing facility in Crabtree, Quebec, by the Council.

Like the complete SpongeTowels line-up, which includes regular SpongeTowels and SpongeTowels EnviroCare, new Kosher-certified SpongeTowels Ultra feature thousands of Sponge Pockets. Unique to SpongeTowels, Sponge Pockets technology uses a proprietary embossing process during manufacturing to provide added strength and absorbency.

Kosher Certification Sought in Response to Consumer Demand

"Kruger Products, maker of SpongeTowels, is a proudly Canadian company that strives to ensure we meet our consumer's needs with quality products on store shelves across the country," says Wendy Mommersteeg, Category Director, Paper Towels. "Our proprietary research identified a demand for premium-quality, Kosher-certified paper towels, so we contacted the council and initiated the process."

The Kashruth Council of Canada, the largest Kosher supervisory and certification organization in Canada, maintains rigorous standards to ensure the exclusion of non-Kosher ingredients in products before granting its exclusive seal.

Kosher-certified SpongeTowels Ultra are now available in Full Sheet and Choose-A-Size formats at retailers across the country at an MSRP of $7.99* for six rolls.
