The Ivy League Teams Up With Waterbucket Media to Promote Its Men's and Women's Lacrosse Tournaments

EASTON, PA and PRINCETON, NJ--(Marketwire - February 11, 2010) -  The Ivy League has reached an agreement with Waterbucket Media to manage the marketing rights for its 2010 Ivy League Men's and Women's Lacrosse Tournaments and to assist with the broadcast arrangements, as needed. As part of this agreement, Waterbucket Media will be soliciting corporate sponsorship opportunities for both tournaments.

"I am anxious to get the word out to the various television networks and corporations about these tournaments," said Jim Jennings, President of Waterbucket Media. "Historically, the Ivy League has been one of the preeminent conferences in men's and women's college lacrosse and we want to showcase both tournaments to a wide audience from those in attendance to those watching at home."

"Waterbucket Media's unique sports marketing and lacrosse background made it an ideal company for us to partner with to help create exciting championship atmospheres around our inaugural lacrosse tournaments," said Ivy League Executive Director Robin Harris.

Each tournament will feature the top four teams from the Ivy League regular season round-robin competition and will be hosted by the round-robin winner. The women's tournament begins with two semifinal games on Friday, April 30 and concludes with the championship game on Sunday, May 2. The following weekend, the men's tournament takes center stage with the two semifinal games on Friday, May 7 and the championship game on Sunday, May 9.

The tournament winners will receive the League's automatic bids to the NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Lacrosse Championships.
