JER Forms Exclusive Material Supply Partnership With Sprig Toys

VANCOUVER, BC--(Marketwire - January 9, 2008) - JER Envirotech International Corp. (TSX-V: JER) (FRANKFURT: KFTB) is pleased to announce a long-term supply partnership with Sprig Toys of Fort Collins, Colorado.

Sprig Toys is a developer of environmentally friendly, "kid-powered" electronic vehicles and accessories. The company recently released its Sprig Adventure Series, which features interchangeable figurine characters with LED-based headlamps and a range of vehicles that engage children with audio adventures told in a "storybook voice." Designed for preschoolers, all vehicle and character bodies are molded using Sprigwood®, a durable, child-safe thermoplastic biocomposite compound developed in partnership with JER. Interestingly, these toys also utilize innovative battery-free electronics which encourage ongoing active play from the child to activate their sound and illumination.

Under the terms of the supply agreement, JER becomes the exclusive supplier of thermoplastic biocomposite compounds to Sprig Toys in exchange for exclusivity in certain market segments and ongoing access to JER's formulation expertise. JER will also provide preferential pricing tied to pre-determined volume commitments, starting with a minimum of 400,000 pounds of JER's compounds in 2008.

"It has been a true pleasure working with the team at Sprig Toys and we are proud of our efforts in the development of Sprigwood®," states Edward Trueman, JER's CEO. "Their operating philosophy is very much in line with our own in that they have chosen to develop products that are innovative and responsibly crafted. Given the growing concern regarding many overseas toy manufacturers, Sprig Toys is at the forefront of an enormous emerging market opportunity in the toy industry."

"In addition to their excellent performance and eco-friendly inputs, JER's thermoplastic biocomposite compounds provide our products with an organic feel, color and wood smell that adds significantly to the Sprigwood® experience," states Craig Story, CEO of Sprig Toys. "In our experience, JER possesses technical expertise and compounds that are unmatched in their industry."

Both companies intend to continue to develop additional eco-friendly compounds to support future Sprigwood® product releases. As the exclusive raw material supplier, Sprig Toys has also agreed to provide JER with secondary recognition and branding on its products and packaging.

Sprig Toys will roll out its Sprig Adventure Series at the American International Toy Fair in New York, February 17-20, 2008 (booth #5680). The line will be available at mass and specialty toy stores in North America and Europe by fall 2008.
