JOURDAN Resources Inc.: Discovery of Uranium Deposits of Sedimentary Origin in the Wakeham Basin, Havre St.Pierre Area, Quebec

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Oct. 10, 2007) - JOURDAN Resources (TSX VENTURE:JRN) is pleased to announce the discovery of uranium deposits of the sedimentary origin on its property, in the Wakeham Basin, Havre St.Pierre area, Quebec. The uranium mineralization occurs in paragneiss beds between the beds of quartzite.

Untill now, two deposits, identified 1-A and 1-B have been discovered and sampled in a zone where the ground prospection with spectrometers has given radioactive values that could correspond to other deposits of the same nature over a width of 1 km and a length of 4 km. The helicopter borne geophysical surveys conducted by GPR International has identified five large radiometric anomalies, with uranium predominance, lined up in a NNW-SSE direction, over a strike length of 6 km.

The deposit 1-A has a N15W strike and a dip of 65 degrees towards the east. This deposit is embedded in the paragneiss beds, from 0.5 m to 3 m wide, exposed over a strike length of 11 meters. The beds are interconnected by tubular pegmatites of 1 to 2 m in diameter.

The deposit 1-B is located 330 meters South-West of deposit 1-A. It is embedded in the paragneiss bed, 1 to 2 meter wide with a boudinage structure. Its strike is NNE-SSW with a 65 degrees dip towards the east. It is exposed over a strike length of 50 meters.

Eight samples taken from deposit 1-A have been assayed at the Als Chemex laboratories of Val d'Or and Vancouver. The results are as follows:.

Samples taken from deposit 1-B have been sent to the laboratories for further assays.

The fieldwork is supervised by Hubert Mvondo, PhD., assisted by Ramin Salkhi, M.Sc and member of l'Ordre des Geologues du Quebec.

Emiilien Seguin, president of JOURDAN Resources, a qualified person in regards to the 43-101 rules, has seen the uranium deposit 1-A and has reviewed and approved the content of this press release.

Mineral Fields has participated to the financing of this exploration program through a private placement completed in September 2007.
