Jeff Hirsch of Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLP (TDS) Elected as President of The Law Society of Manitoba

WINNIPEG, MANITOBA--(Marketwire - June 11, 2009) - Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLP (TDS) congratulates Jeff Hirsch on being elected as the 89th President of The Law Society of Manitoba. Jeff was first elected as a Bencher in 2002. The Law Society of Manitoba is the governing body for the legal profession in Manitoba and its purpose is to uphold and protect the public interest in the delivery of legal services with competence, integrity and independence.

Jeff has also been appointed to a three year term as Manitoba's representative to the Council of the Federation of Law Societies of Canada which is the national coordinating body of the 14 Law Societies in Canada who have the responsibility to regulate Canada's 95,000 lawyers.
