Jeff Weitzman Joins Permuto as Chief Marketing Officer

Weitzman One of Many Yahoo! Veterans to Join Permuto Management Team

PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwire - June 16, 2010) -  Permuto, a leader in online performance advertising, today announced that Jeff Weitzman, a veteran online industry executive who was most recently CMO of Common Sense Media, has joined the company as part of the senior management team. As chief marketing officer, Weitzman will be responsible for managing all aspects of marketing for Permuto.

At Common Sense Media, the nation's leading information and advocacy organization for children and media, Weitzman led the product development and marketing efforts for the company, significantly expanding its online reach, leading a major renewal of the brand and Web site, and initiating a national online and TV branding campaign that debuted with a 90-second spot produced and aired by Disney Channel.

Weitzman brings to Permuto more than twenty years of strategy, operations, and marketing experience, including executive roles at several successful Internet companies. Before Common Sense Media, Weitzman was president and COO of industry leader Coupons.com, and at Yahoo! he led the Internet portal's advertising operations and account management functions and co-chaired the IAB's task force on standardizing industry advertising terms and conditions. Jeff came to Yahoo! through the acquisition of Seth Godin's Yoyodyne where he was SVP of Business Operations. A graduate of Cardozo School of Law and Dartmouth College, Weitzman began his career as an attorney at Shearman & Sterling, and in the '90s he helped pioneer business-to-business Internet communities as COO of Counsel Connect, an online service for lawyers.
