Jeremy Kinsman Joins Dundee Precious Metals Board of Directors

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 28, 2007) - Dundee Precious Metals Inc. (TSX:DPM)(TSX:DPM.WT) (the "Company") is pleased to announce that Mr. Jeremy Kinsman has joined the Company's board of directors.

Mr. Kinsman has had a distinguished diplomatic career in Canada's Foreign Service since joining the Department of External Affairs in 1966. He was Canada's Ambassador to the European Union from 2002 until his retirement in 2006. Prior to 2002, Mr. Kinsman was High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and served as the Canadian Ambassador to, among others, Russia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Italy and Albania.

He has also written extensively on foreign affairs and on cultural and intellectual property issues and has been a member of various boards and commissions in both his private and official capacities. A native of Montreal, Canada, Mr. Kinsman was educated at Princeton University in New Jersey, U.S.A. and the Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Paris, France.

Mr. Kinsman regularly comments on foreign affairs for CBC News and other outlets. He is currently Diplomat in Residence at The Woodrow Wilson School of Princeton University and heading an international democracy support project for The Community of Democracies.
