"Hello. Come on. Put on your pants. 'Cuz you just might wanna dance!"

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - May 29, 2007) - Dance floor lovers REJOICE! The unabashedly infectious rock/hip-hop/dance duo Junior Senior is "back on track for the big comeback," with the long-awaited North American release of "Hey Hey My My Yo Yo," available August 14, 2007 via Rykodisc/Crunchy Frog. The instantly catchy album promises to be just the ticket for those way-too-hot and frenzied summertime parties and will feature a bonus DVD with exclusive footage.

"Hey Hey My My Yo Yo" sees the dynamic Danish duo Junior (aka Jesper Mortensen) Senior (aka Jeppe Laursen) return in top, feel-good form, mashing up their one-of-a-kind Mamas & the Papas-meets-Sugar Hill Gang sound with the manic, party energy that they're known for. The sweet sounding '60s pop, '70s funk and '80s hip-hop-inspired album features such notable guest artists as Cindy Wilson and Kate Pierson of the B-52's, Le Tigre, and legendary Motown girl group the Velvelettes, as well as Spooner Oldham, the Alabama-born organist (and Neil Young keyboardist) behind classics like "When a Man Loves a Woman," and "Mustang Sally." Of special note, the album was recorded in part at the legendary Muscle Shoals Sound Studio in Alabama, and in fact, Junior Senior was one of the last recording artists to record at the famed and now defunct studio, culminating a long tradition of great pop and soul recordings from the likes of Aretha, Dylan, and the Stones. The album was co-produced by Junior and Thomas Troelsen, and mixed by David Leonard in Nashville.

Television has already responded enthusiastically to Junior Senior's latest effort with the '80s rap-inflected tunes, "Can I Get Get Get" (the album's first single) having recently been featured in an episode of the ABC hit series "Ugly Betty," and the track, "Itch U Can't Skratch," used in a promo campaign for Viacom's Logo network. Additionally, the track "Take My Time" has been used in the PSP game "Lumines 2."

The video for the first single, "Can I Get Get Get," features fan-submitted video footage and appearances by JD of Le Tigre and Peaches, amongst other special surprise guests.

Junior Senior first brought their delectable hooks and explosive energy to the world through their debut album, "D-D-Don't Don't Stop the Beat." Fueled by the global smash "Move Your Feet," which spent 9 consecutive weeks in the UK top 10 (six of them in the top 5), the band quickly found both commercial success and critical acclaim throughout the world, from dance clubs and roller skating rinks to sports stadiums. Their debut album garnered rave reviews across the globe, with Blender Magazine giving the album a four-star rave, while Entertainment Weekly named them to their list of "The 100 Most Creative People in Entertainment," hailing the album as "an aural assault of hip-hop, techno, garage, punk, and house." Also, Rolling Stone put them #1 on their "Hot List," while UK mag Dazed and Confused promised its devoted readers that Junior Senior "...will help restore your faith in the power of rock 'n roll."

With "Hey Hey My My Yo Yo," Junior Senior returns with an even more infectious, yet sophisticated and consistent, pop-dance album. Look for a North American tour in late summer/early fall.
