New How-To Organization Provides Practical Advice for Content Marketing

CLEVELAND, OH--(Marketwire - June 16, 2010) - Organizations that want to use content marketing to engage with their prospective and existing customers now have a new resource for how-to information.

The Content Marketing Institute (CMI), developed by Junta42, gives B2B and B2C marketers no-nonsense, practical content marketing advice direct from the pros including:

  • Content strategy
  • Content creation
  • Content promotion and distribution
  • Content management
  • Content measurement and analysis

In addition to focusing on popular online and social media tactics, the site also features less-covered, but equally-important areas of mobile, print and in-person content marketing.

The site features a daily blog that shares tips on improving content marketing as well as provides samples of great content and case studies of how companies are executing their content marketing strategies.

Later this summer CMI will offer "bite-sized training" for web and mobile devices, answering specific content-marketing questions in 5 - 20 minute modules.

CMI is founded by Joe Pulizzi who is at the forefront of the content marketing revolution. He is co-author of THE handbook on content marketing, "Get Content Get Customers" and founder of Junta42, a free service where marketers can be matched with experts to help them create and deliver content marketing.

"The response to CMI has been outstanding," says Pulizzi. "While Junta42 is a great resource for helping organizations find pre-qualified content marketing experts, CMI provides practical DIY advice that marketers can implement into their overall marketing programs. We are indeed all media companies. CMI will help marketers make the transition."

CMI is partnering with the some of the brightest in the industry. The CMI brand council, which provides direction on training, includes marketing executives from organizations such as LEGO, Research in Motion (makers of BlackBerry smartphones) and UPS. CMI charter sponsors include Ricoh InfoPrint Solutions, myBrainshark, OpenView Venture Partners and Story Worldwide.

Content marketers and business owners can sign up for CMI posts for free. Sponsor information: contact Joe Pulizzi at joe[at]
