KARE 11 Launches 11:00 a.m. Weekday Newscast

KARE 11 TODAY Taps Diana Pierce and Pat Evans to Anchor

MINNEAPOLIS, MN and ST. PAUL, MN--(Marketwire - December 3, 2010) -  KARE 11 NEWS returns to a midday newscast in the New Year to better align with NBC's Today Show and to highlight the talents of Diana Pierce and Pat Evans.

KARE 11 TODAY will air at 11:00 a.m. weekdays for one hour. It will be a blend of daily news and lifestyle segments, with online and social media interaction during the program. It will immediately follow the fourth hour of NBC's Today Show hosted by Hoda Kotb and Kathy Lee Gifford.

The program will continue the nationally acclaimed news reporting and community involvement that has been at the core of the KARE 11 brand for over a quarter of a century.

KARE 11 TODAY replaces Showcase Minnesota which has aired at 10:00 a.m. weekdays for the past four-and-a-half years. The new program debuts on January 10, 2011. Pierce and Evans will also anchor KARE 11 NEWS @ 4 Monday through Friday. Julie Nelson will join Mike Pomeranz to anchor KARE 11 NEWS @ 5.
