KARE 11 Partners With Metromix to Launch a New Entertainment Guide for the Twin Cities

MINNEAPOLIS, MN--(Marketwire - May 1, 2008) - Minneapolis/St. Paul NBC affiliate KARE 11 today announced the launch of Metromix Twin Cities (, a new online entertainment guide that provides information about thousands of local bars and clubs, restaurants, events, music, movies, TV and more. By combining local staff and hyper-local content with the added depth provided by a national content team, Metromix provides the Twin Cities a unique point-of-view on where to go and what to do.

Metromix is loaded with easy-to-use features and up-to-date information. Users can search and sort venues by location, food type, price and more. And nearly every listing contains a brief description, photo, and map that can be easily sent to a phone or other mobile device.

The site will also feature arts and entertainment content such as interviews, articles, round-ups and reviews that will be updated on a daily basis and syndicated through RSS feeds. Additionally, users are encouraged to post their own reviews and publish their own playlists and photos.
