KARE Wins 2 National Edward R. Murrow Awards

MINNEAPOLIS, MN and ST. PAUL, MN--(Marketwire - June 16, 2010) - The Radio and Television News Directors Association (RTNDA) announced that KARE-TV (Minneapolis/St. Paul) won two national Edward R. Murrow Awards. One for Best Feature Reporting and another for Best Newscast.

KARE was the only TV station in Minnesota to receive the prestigious award.

"Quality journalism will always rise to the top," said John Remes, president and general manager, KARE-TV. "Viewers appreciate it and expect it. KARE 11 salutes the work being done by broadcast journalists across the county and is honored to receive this national recognition."

KARE's awards included: Best Feature Reporting for "The Tyler Project" by Boyd Huppert and Jonathan Malat, and Best Newscast for "KARE 11 News at 10" by the staff.

KARE has won 16 National Edward R. Murrow Awards since 1994.
