We Need High Quality Public Services in Every Community, Says OFL - Not Privatization Attention: Assignment Editor, Media Editor, News Editor, Government/Political Affairs Editor TORONTO--(CCNMatthews - May 16, 2006) - "Privatization won't make health care or education more efficient or cheaper," says OFL president Wayne Samuelson. "Costs will go up, quality will go down and user fees will increase." Samuelson will be in Kitchener on Wednesday, May 17 to talk to local media and municipal officials about the McGuinty government privatizing essential parts of our public services, including health care and education.

"That means that for every public dollar spent on health care should be spent on patient care, not on profit margins for private operators," Samuelson says. "No one should be allowed to make a profit from essential health care."

On Wednesday, May 17, OFL president Samuelson will be at the following locations:

11:00 a.m.
The Record Editorial Board
225 Fairway Road South, Kitchener

1:30 p.m.
Mayor Carl Zehr
