Keating Named President of BNSF Foundation

FORT WORTH, TX--(Marketwire - January 3, 2008) - Mary Jo Keating has been named president of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Foundation effective Jan. 1, 2008, it was announced today. She succeeds Richard Russack, who retired as president of the BNSF Foundation Dec. 31, 2007. Keating also serves as vice president, Corporate Relations, of BNSF Railway Company.

The Burlington Northern Santa Fe Foundation, created in 1996, is the major channel of philanthropy for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation (NYSE: BNI) and its subsidiaries.
