Keiretsu Forum and QBInternational Bring the Qube to Market

Keiretsu Forum Portfolio Company, QBInternational, Raises $820,000 in Series A Round Funding

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 15, 2006 -- Keiretsu Forum, the nation's largest investment community of private equity (angel) investors, VCs and corporate investors, today announced its investment in QBInternational, creators of the Qube Learning System, a customizable Game-Based Learning solution that represents a new category of learning technology.

QBInternational has closed its Series A round with $820,000 in equity funding, with members of the Keiretsu Forum Northern California chapters leading the round. The funding will enable QBInternational to greatly accelerate the roll-out of its popular Qube™, already used in a number of companies and organizations including Adaptec, Borland, aQuire ISLE-Ed, and the California Community Colleges.

Keiretsu Forum provides a structured approach to private equity investments, allowing like-minded business leaders to develop “Mindshare” on investment opportunities and then make individual investment decisions. In this instance Keiretsu Forum made its investment in QBInternational due to the company's unique software platform model called the ‘Qube,’ which the Gartner Group identified as “the only customizable online Game-Based Learning system in the market. Gartner was so impressed with the Qube’s innovation and effectiveness that they named QBI one of the ‘8 Cool Vendors’ in the High Performance Workplace market.”

CEO of QBInternational, Andy Kimball, noted, “The Qube answers the growing demand for increased learner retention and 'proof of learning' in order to track and document the actual transfer of critical knowledge in the training process.”

Randy Williams, founder of the Keiretsu Forum, said, "We are pleased to include QBI in our growing portfolio of companies, and look forward to continuing to provide support to the company." QBI will also present to members of Keiretsu Forum’s new Beijing Chapter at its inaugural meeting later this month.
