Kent Receives Updated NI-43-101 Report on Ivanhoe Creek

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire – Dec. 23, 2009) - Kent Exploration Inc. (the "Company" or "Kent") (TSX VENTURE:KEX) reports that it has received an updated NI-43-101 Technical Report on its 100% optioned Ivanhoe Creek gold property in Elko County, Nevada.

The report, which was prepared by Reliance Geological Services of Vancouver, was commissioned to review past work, report on results from the Ivanhoe Creek 2007 diamond drill program, and assess the Property's potential to host epithermal, low-sulphidation, vein-style gold-silver mineralization similar to Newmont's nearby Midas gold mine, and Great Basin Gold's adjacent Hollister mine, which has recently commenced production with a reported March 2009 resource of approximately 2.6 million ounces of gold and 13 million ounces of silver, and to make recommendations regarding the placer claims that have been staked to cover the reported, approximately 2,000,000 ton, near surface, Bentonite deposit.

Of the proposed 1,525 meter diamond drill program conducted by Senator Minerals Inc during 2007, only 791 meters of BTW drilling, which intersected anomalous gold and silver mineralization, were drilled prior to the program being suspended due to adverse lithological conditions and equipment failures, and only two holes reached the targeted depth of 250 meters. The report recommends completion of the balance of the 2007 drill program using HQ drill core size.

The Company president, Graeme O'Neill, was interviewed recently on the Company's prospects for 2010 by Ted Ohashi of Ticker Talk, a presentation of IPE Investment Pitch Enterprises and the interview can be viewed on their website at;
