Kindermusik Launches Itsy Bitsy Spider Video Contest

The Educational Music and Movement Program Is Giving Fans the Opportunity to Submit Their Own Videos of "Itsy Bitsy Spider" to Inspire the Latest Kindermusik Music Video

GREENSBORO, NC--(Marketwire - October 26, 2009) - Kindermusik, the world's largest music and movement program for children, is hosting its first contest on YouTube. Parents, kids, and other fans of the program can download a free song of Kindermusik's brand-new recording of "Itsy Bitsy Spider" from the Kindermusik website. Then they can video-record themselves or others doing the motions to the song. Entrants who post their videos to Kindermusik's YouTube group will be entered into a raffle drawing for free Kindermusik tuition and may also be featured in Kindermusik's own Itsy Bitsy Spider music video, which will be edited using selected clips from the contest.

Entrants do not need to be enrolled in Kindermusik to submit a video, and individuals are allowed to submit as many as five separate videos, each of which will qualify for one raffle entry. For more information and to download Kindermusik's "Itsy Bitsy Spider" song, visit http://www.kindermusik.com/VideoContest/ItsyBitsySpider/ItsyBitsySpider.aspx. The deadline for the contest is 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, December 1.

After downloading the free song and recording their videos, entrants can sign in to YouTube and post their videos to the "Itsy Bitsy Spider Contest" group, found at http://www.youtube.com/group/kmusikexperience1. All eligible entries will be featured on the group page and entered into a raffle for a free semester of tuition and home materials at any Kindermusik studio in the world. Selected clips will be used in a brand-new "Itsy Bitsy Spider" music video that will be created and featured on Kindermusik's YouTube channel as well as Kindermusik International's websites.

About Kindermusik:

Kindermusik is a music and movement program for children ages newborn to seven. Every week, thousands of parents and children around the world move, play, listen, and dance to music, stories, poems, and sounds, all as part of a research-based, whole-child curriculum designed to be fun, engaging, and social while stimulating and strengthening the vital neural wiring in children's minds. Kindermusik educators are trained in music and child development and are crazy about kids. They sing, play, and teach, plus they guide parents every step of the way, showing how each activity contributes to their children's overall growth and development.
