Hans Boge, President of Klondike Star Mineral Corporation (OTCBB:KDSM)
is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement with
Gartner Lee Limited on the provision of environmental and socio-economic
services in regards to respecting its exploration activities in the
Yukon Territory.

Klondike Star is fully committed to following a balanced environmental
and socio-economic approach in developing the mineral wealth on its
properties in the Klondike area. This is a cornerstone of Klondike
Star's corporate environmental policy. Gartner Lee Limited is a
nationally recognized environmental consultant firm with a reputation in
finding balanced solutions for Canada's minerals industry. Gartner Lee's
work experience in northern Canada is particularly relevant for Klondike
Star. Not only are the physical realities of the Yukon different than
most others in Canada, but the regulatory and environmental regime is
also very different than other regions of this Nation. Klondike Star's
commitment to environmental and socio-economic sustainability relates to
all phases of the mining cycle, from exploration to closure. At the
present time, Klondike Star is at the advanced exploration phase for our
Klondike properties and we have initiated the environmental baseline
programs. Gartner Lee Limited has significant technical bench strength
in their Whitehorse office and across the firm and is well positioned to
provide leading edge technical advice at all phases of our exploration
and development programs. Gartner Lee's Whitehorse Office Manager, Mr.
Kirk Cameron is a former Deputy Minister of Environment and Executive
Council Office with the Government of Yukon and Mr. Jesse Duke is the
former Mining Facilitator and Director of Mining for the Government of
Yukon. Both of these individuals provide significant experience that
will be very helpful in moving Klondike Star's properties into the
regulatory process in an effective manner.
