KnightTV Appoints Dale Taylor as President

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 15, 2009) - KNIGHTSCOVE MEDIA CORP. (TSX VENTURE:KC.A)(TSX VENTURE:KC.B) ("Knightscove", "Company") is pleased to announce Dale Taylor as President of it's newly acquired US and Canadian cable and satellite network, KnightTV.

"Dale has a unique understanding and vision for the programming, commissioning and branding of family friendly content which was effectively demonstrated in his role of VP of Programming and Production at YTV. As one of the key architects of the success of YTV from 1989 - 1997, Dale oversaw the commissioning of many award-winning and leading edge shows such as Big Comfy Couch, Goosebumps, Reboot, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, The YTV Youth Achievement Awards and many others. His guidance led YTV to become the most successful independent cable channel in Canada which is now one of Corus' key assets and revenue generators. To have Dale now as President of KnightTV is exciting and an affirmation of the direction we are moving," says Leif Bristow, President and CEO, Knightscove Media Corp.

As mentioned in our previous press release, KIDMAZING is currently available to 10 million households in the US and Canada, through Cox, Charter, Dish and Shaw. This is an initial platform which is almost equal to the entire number of Canadian households and from which management believes it can rapidly grow. Kidmazing has been rated as high as 18 out of 157 channels on the VOD platform in the US based on viewership.

"KnightTV is totally committed to expanding the kid / youth centric, family friendly fare that was offered up by KIDMAZING. Our goal is 'to go right up Main Street' in the US and Canada, providing content that is worthy of our viewers investment in both time and money," says Taylor. "Current family content in North America is primarily skewed to the youth market providing limited opportunities for 'co-viewing' for the whole family. There are few networks competing for the family while there are numerous sport and movie networks. With over 58 mil children in North America under the age of 16, together with their immediate family members there is limited choices to see great family movies and series which appeal to a broader audience providing KnightTV to quickly become a choice destination by the consumer."

"Kids and their families will have more choices going forward and we believe that our distribution partners, content partners and Main Street families deserve choice - on their terms. We will provide programming from around the planet - in all shapes and sizes, all genres and all family friendly. Animation, live action, game / quiz / nature / wildlife, family movies and more will be offered up. Along with specials, stunt and event programming, we want to make TV fun, participatory and interactively rewarding."

Taylor states that "this network, KnightTV, promises to be inspirational, thoughtful and creatively invigorating - all the while grounded with the knowledge that 'we are what we see and hear'. Entertainment for kids of all ages, KnightTV will provide kids and their caregivers an alternative source for their viewing time - safe, viable and reliable.
