Kryos to Offer Application Development Sessions at the 2009 BlackBerry Developer Conference

Kryos, a gold sponsor at the 2009 BlackBerry Developer Conference, to demonstrate how to develop BlackBerry smartphone applications in four hours or less with their Velocity Development Platform.

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Nov. 3, 2009) - Kryos Systems Ltd., an award winning software and services company, and producers of the Velocity Mobile Platform, today announced that they will be providing application development sessions -- "Velocity Jam Sessions" -- at the 2009 BlackBerry(R) Developer Conference in San Francisco. Launched in May 2009, Velocity is an integrated development environment specifically designed for building and managing enterprise applications that run on BlackBerry(R) smartphones. In addition, Kryos will be awarding two lucky Jam Session attendees with a BlackBerry(R) Tour(TM) smartphone.

"We are very excited to get our Velocity Development platform in the hands of as many developers as we can through our Jam Sessions," said Trevor Nimegeers, President and CEO, Kryos. "Developers are being asked to deliver more value-add business applications to users, and are looking for a single platform that they can lean on to rapidly develop and deploy native Java(R) applications(DM2). More importantly, corporate IT needs to be able to quickly develop and deploy these applications to users as the needs arise and in short order. . That is the Velocity value proposition - deliver value to users, do it fast and then manage the applications centrally."

The Kryos Velocity platform allows companies to rapidly develop applications for BlackBerry(R) smartphones such as executive dashboard applications, sales management, field force automation, supply chain, asset management, and other key functions. The Velocity platform allows enterprises to manage specific applications and provides reports on applications back to administrators.

The Velocity team will be at the 2009 BlackBerry Developer Conference providing nine, one and a half hour "Velocity Jam Sessions" for attendees. The sessions are designed to introduce developers to the power of the Velocity platform and to meet members of the Velocity development team. "The Jam Sessions will be a hands-on lab format, enabling the development community to come with their specific application requirements, and work with Velocity and our team to see their application start to take shape right before their eyes - quite a feat given that each session is only an hour and a half long", said Rick Hugie, Kryos CTO.
