LECG Announces Banking and Public Finance Expert Bill Hamm as Leader of Its Economics Services Business Segment, Accounting Expert Richard Boulton as Leader of Its Finance & Accounting Services Business Segment

LECG Segment Leaders Appointed to Drive Revenue Growth, Professional Development, and Brand Enhancement

EMERYVILLE, CA--(Marketwire - April 29, 2008) - Global expert services firm LECG (NASDAQ: XPRT), announced that William Hamm will lead its economics services (ES) segment. Richard Boulton continues in his role as head of the finance and accounting services (FAS) segment. LECG released its first quarter 2008 results separately today.

LECG has organized its business into two segments to drive coordination across its key disciplines of economics, finance and accounting, to strengthen lines of accountability and performance, and to increase financial reporting transparency.

The economics services segment includes the global competition, labor economics, regulated industries, and securities litigation sectors. The FAS segment includes the forensic accounting, damages and intellectual property, financial services, healthcare, education, and electronic discovery sectors. The sector leaders who comprise LECG's executive management team (EMT) now report to their respective segment head.

Bill Hamm, who is based in the Emeryville office, has been with LECG for twelve years as an expert in banking, mortgage lending, and public finance. He has served as the executive vice president/chief operating officer of a AAA-rated $50 billion bank. He also ran a $1.5 billion mortgage loan servicing business unit for an S&P 500 company. Prior to his private sector experience, Dr. Hamm served in high-level public sector roles. As head of the nonpartisan legislative analyst's office in California, he earned a nationwide reputation for objectivity, expertise, and credibility on public policy issues ranging from taxation to healthcare. In addition, Mr. Hamm served eight years in the Executive Office of the President in Washington, DC, where he headed a division of the Office of Management and Budget that was responsible for analyzing the programs and budgets of HUD, Labor, and several other large federal agencies.

Richard Boulton, who is based in the London office, joined LECG in 2002 after a 20-year career at Arthur Andersen. He was worldwide managing partner -- strategy at Arthur Andersen and served as the number two executive worldwide with management responsibility for all of the firm's service categories. He also served as worldwide managing partner -- business consulting, where he was responsible for the firm's 11,000 person management consulting business. Mr. Boulton has more than 25 years of experience as an accountant and consultant advising on strategic, financial, and economic issues. He has particular expertise in complex damage calculations and has led a number of significant fraud investigations including the criminal investigation into the collapse of BCCI on behalf of the majority shareholders.
